Swansea were unable to build up on thier victory over Manchester United two weeks ago, when they excluded the giant from FA Cup with a 1:2 victory on the road, failing to make impressive performance in a 2:0 defeat last weekend as a part of the previous Premiership round. Hosts were simply much more efficient, even though the guests held the ball to their feet more, but early goals in second half by Valencia and Welbeck have decided everything as the visitors were unable to create something more in the remaining time of the game.
Even though they had a tough schedule recently, as they had to meet both teams from Manchester and Chelsea in recent weeks, seven matches run without a victory is simply too long for them now – talking about Premier League games only. Poor run have saw them slipping down at the table to thirteenth position with only three points more than relegating worried Cardiff. Under these conditions, there is no doubt that the team looks for immediate bounce back and will have to attack even against more quality sides. Hosts are having couple of important injury worries as they miss out defensive midfielder Canas (18/0) due to recent injury, but also offensive midfielder Michu (12/2) and winger Hernandez (12/1). Things to be worse, few players are also doubtful with little chances to play: as defensive midfielder Guzman (18/1) is set out to miss once again, while goalkeeper Vorm (13/0) and winger Dyer (14/4) have a small chance of returning to the lineup this time.

Tottenham, on the other side, is coming from a 2:0 victory at home over Crystal Palace last weekend. However, it has to be said that the visitors had gave a good performance and were a tough nut to crack, especially in the first halftime when they missed a penalty kick. Still, second half brought much improved creativity and efficiency in Spurs team and with goals from Eriksen and Defoe, the Spurs have sealed their third victory in four official matches.
It was actually their fourth consecutive victory in Premier League as they lost to Arsenal in FA Cup in the meantime, while the team climbed up the table to the sixth position and are now once again very close to the Champions League ticket being only two points away from fourth placed Liverpool. Having good form behind their backs, there is no doubt that the team will be coming for all three points here. Right defender Walker (20/1) was forced off the pitch in a game against Crystal Palace, but will play this one. Defensive midfielder Sandro (12/1) is back in training process, but might be benched now, while the Spurs continue to miss out central defender Verthongen (14/0), central midfielders Paulinho (17/2) and Lamela (9/0) and central defender Kaboul (4/0).
Chances for over goals are much higher than the odds are representing in this game. Swansea is close to a must win situation and will surely try to attack during the game, which should make the game as open as possible as Spurs are also going for all three points.
