Germany vs Scotland

Germany vs Scotland betting tips

German national team was defeated 4:2 in Dusseldorf against Argentina last Wednesday in a friendly game and will now try to recover confidence from their fans in the Euro 2016 qualifiers opener against Scotland. Coach Joachim Lev was experimenting a lot, at the same time not trying to get the maximum potential out of his players and the result came naturally.

Schalke’s midfielder Draxler got injured in that game, being not able to recover in time for this one. His position will get Leverkusen’s midfielder, Sidney Sam, who was asked to come to their camp on Thursday evening and join the team. German coach has said that their biggest problem now is availability of the players and their condition for tonight’s game. Defender Jerome Boateng is available, but midfielder Mesut Ozil isn’t. Germany should be fielded up in a 4-2-3-1 formation, while everything except convincing victory would be a negative result for a team that played so well just months ago at the World Cup.

Scotland, on the other side, seems to be very determined this time to reach the target of qualifying to the Euro 2016 in the end. From the previous friendly matches played, they actually do have every reason to feel optimistic regarding their chances.

They are on undefeated run of six official matches, while the national team coach Gordon Strachan has opted mainly for the players who play in England. Only couple of players from Celtic were invited, Reynolds from Aberdeen and that’s all when we speak about their domestic league. However, they were hit with few problems after the initial team was called up as midfielder Graham Dorrans from WBA, defender Christope Berra from Ipswich and Andrew Robertson (Hull’s defender) have all withdrawn from Gordon Strachan’s squad due to injuries. He confirmed that midfielder Darren Fletcher will be team captain, in the absence of central defender Scott Brown who won’t play due to hamstring injury.

Scottland is undefeated in last six official games.

Scottland is on a good run, but the quality difference is more than huge here. Germans won’t fail in official game and should make instant pact in getting the first position in the group, probably also getting qualified between the first nations at the continent.
