Watford vs Birmingham

Watford vs Birmingham betting tips

Watford is coming from a 2:2 draw away to Leicester last weekend. However, they have every reason to feel very unhappy with the final score, as the team had 2:0 lead in 41st minute, but failed to keep the clean sheet till the end of the first halftime and later on, failed to respond in the second half.

Hosts pushed a lot for the equalizer from the very beginning of the second half, created opportunities and have finally tied the score in the fourth minute of the delay. Despite the draw, their coach Giuseppe Sannino was satisfied with the effort of his players, saying that it was a valuable degree for them against a strong side like Leicester. Watford is now undefeated in two consecutive matches with a victory and draw, while they have two consecutive victories at home without conceding a goal. Home side has no fresh injury worries as they continue to miss midfielders McGugan, Diakhite and Abdi who are already long term injuries.

Birmingham, on the other side, is coming from a 2:0 victory away from home against Charlton. One of the best players on the field was Federico Macheda, their striker on loan, as he scored two goals in the match, one in each half and led his team to the victory.

Charlton also had opportunities, but the visiting goalkeeper had a very decent night. In any way, it was a deserved victory for Birmingham, as coach Lee Clark was fully satisfied after the game, saying that it wasn’t easy to re-build the squad after a New Year’s even, adding that he lost five players on loan. It took some time, but the team seems to be now right back on track, as they look to avoid any kind of relegation trouble having now nine points above the red zone. Left back Hancox returns from injury, while the visitors may name unchanged squad in comparison to previous match.

Watford have won their last three matches against Birmingham.

Birmingham is too fragile at the back and although they seem to be a bit better in previous two matches, it will be hard to see them getting away with something when visiting Watford.
