Asus unveils the VivoTab 8, an 8” Windows 8.1 tablet with a 64-bit SoC and stereo speakers

Undoubtedly, Asus put a great emphasis on its wearable, the Android Wear-powered ZenWatch, at its event in the first day of IFA 2014. The company also unveiled several other products, most notably the Android-running, 64-bit MeMO Pad 7 slate. But that was, ostensibly, not the only tablet that the manufacturer had in the pipeline – today it unveiled the VivoTab 8, an 8-inch slate that runs Windows 8.1 and has a 64-bit Intel-made processor inside.



The CPU in question, the 64-bit Intel Atom Z3745, is a quad-core one and churns its gears at 1.86GHz. The same SoC is also powering the already-mentioned ... Drop your comments and additions..Below
