Two members of the National Youth
Service Corps (NYSC) Batch C, who were
serving in Dutse, the Jigawa State capital,
were yesterday crushed to death, while
another sustained injuries when a truck ran
over them.
The corps members identified as Abubakar
Muktar from Yobe State and Mustapha Sani
Sufi from Kano State, died on the spot, while
Ahmed Haruna sustained minor injuries.
Sector Commandant of the Federal Road
Safety Commission (FRSC) Jigawa State
command, Umar Aminu, who confirmed the
incident, said the three corps members
were all riding on the same bike when the
accident occurred.
Spokesperson of the NYSC, Mr. Obemeator
Alex, said late Muktar Abubakar graduated
from a university in East-London, majoring
in Accounting while late Mustafa Sani Sufi
read Business Administration from Cape
Briton University. He said their remains
have been taken to Kano for burial.
