I remember way back in my secondary school days, my parents and older ones would scold me whenever they caught me watching entertainment oriented channels like M-net, Channel O, MTV Base and Action Movies.
Funny enough, these were channels I actually enjoy watching and got addicted to, especially MTV Base, Action Movies and magic movies. But I would only watch dem with my eyes on d TV but my ears and senses outside to hear any noise dat may be from my parents.
To them, I should only watch news channels like CNN and BBC, and maybe others like Animal planet, Learning channels etc, u know those "serious channels" dat children hardly like to watch.
According to them, it would increase mi intelligence and help me in school. I would just endure and watch but once they are out, I would quickly switch over to my beloved Magic movies.
Really, does the TV channel one watch influence his intelligence in any way
