Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure will not face disciplinary action over an incident with Norwich City’s Ricky van Wolfswinkel in Saturday’s draw.
Toure faced a three-match ban for appearing to kick Van Wolfswinkel during the goalless stalemate at Carrow Road.
However, a Football Association (FA) panel of three ex-referees ruled that the 30-year-old Ivory Coast international should not be charged with violent misconduct.
Referee John Moss did not notice the incident, but the FA decided not to take retrospective action on the basis of video evidence.
Man City will be up against Sunderland at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday.
