Montpellier caused a big surprise in Cup game held in Paris few days ago, as they managed to defeat mighty PSG away from home with a 2:1 result. The ball possession and chances created were overwhelmingly on the side of Parisians, but the final victory belonged only to team of coach Courbis, as his players were much more efficient from rare chances they made.
Final score is of course heavily unfair for the Parisians, but once again have confirmed that the better side doesn’t win always. In any way, it’s obvious that Montpellier is in constant rise of form, as their qualification to the next phase of Cup competition was celebrated strongly into the night that day. Getting back to league games, team is coming from a 2:0 victory over Sochaux last weekend, as they have three matches without defeat run, but are still only at 16th position with twenty one point earned. That’s four points above the relegation zone, while the team seeks three pointer tonight and further removal from the dangerous area.
Home side continue to miss out attacking midfielder Ait Fana who anyway didn’t play this season, but also striker Bakar (13/1) and back Jebbour (10/0), just like in previous games. The club is yet to make a move this transfer window.

Nice, on the other side, also made a great performance and are coming from unexpected victory in Cup competition as they won Marseille on the road with a 5:4 result. Final score is fair, since the Eagles played amazing football and simply were more effective and superior team than their favored rivals.
Marseille was below their performances this season and have been excluded completely fair, while Nice continued with their good form after very poor results at the beginning of the season. After they had seven consecutive defeats back in November and early December, things are looking much brighter for them, as the atmosphere inside the locker room has improved strongly since then. Team now counts six victories, a draw and a defeat in last eight games in all competitions and are surely looking to improve the positive streak with a point here at least. They will be without offensive Mathieu Bodmer (13/0) and central defender Nemanja Pejcinovic (12/1) who have been ruled out with injuries, while midfielder Valentin Essyric (15/1) and striker Jeremy Pied (11/1) are doubtful.
Both teams are coming from great results in Cup competition, but have already upped their form a lot in recent weeks. More open game with many offensive phases from each sides, just like they had in previous weeks is expected, while the odds are giving us extra value.
