Malaga – Valencia Free betting tips..
Malaga – Valencia – After Cup matches that were played in the course of the week, this match of the Primera Division marks the start of the second part of the season. Both of teams have disappointed in the first part, especially Valencia from whom had been expected much more. Malaga has three points less and it didn’t play Cup matches this week being earlier eliminated from it. Valencia has suffered the same fate on Tuesday after the defeat by Atletico. In the previous championship round both rivals were defeated away. In mid-August last year Valencia defeated Malaga by 1-0 in their first match this season, however, Malaga won as a host in the previous two seasons and Valencia at the same time didn’t score a single goal.Begins: 17.01.2014 – 21:00 CET
Malaga
Malaga achieved modest result in the first half of the season and is therefore closer to the relegation zone than to European positions. After all those financial problems it’s not a big surprise, but still more was expected. They disappointed in away matches where they won just once, while are specific because they haven’t drawn a single match at home. Inefficiency is also a problem and they score exactly one goal per match in average. At two last matches were defeated with a minimal goal difference without scoring by themselves, while in last seven rounds didn’t score more than one goal per match.
Levante defeated them on last weekend and in that match the defence line was weakened with absence of suspended Antunes and Angeleri. But, Eliseu had recovered and played on the left flank. This time the problem is injury of their best stopper Weligton who will certainly not play, while Jesus Gamez complains about a lighter injury but he is supposed to play. Return of Angeleri and Antunes will mean a lot, and there’s the only winter reinforcement, midfielder Pablo Perez.
Probable lineups Malaga: Caballero – J. Gamez, S. Sanchez, Angeleri, Antunes – Tissone, Camacho – Portillo, Eliseu, Morales – Santa Cruz
Valencia
Valencia was eliminated from the Cup on Tuesday, and now is active in only two competitions. Primera Division should be now its major preoccupation, as it is more and more falling behind teams that occupy the European positions and it is high time to have a longer series of positive results. They hoped that are entering into one after a victory over Levante and before the match against Celta, however, they continued as usual in Vigo where were again defeated. They took a lead but that didn’t help and they couldn’t even draw. Injury of stopper Mathieu has thrown them out of the rhythm, although that cannot be a justification. Mathieu has recovered in the meantime and was part of the team in Madrid for the Cup match and again it didn’t help.
They were defeated by 2-0, and the main culprit this time was goalkeeper Guaita. He made a mistake in the first match against Atletico so coach Pizzi will have to think twice before he give him an advantage over Diego Alves. Some players like Jonas, Oriol Romeua and Canales have rested in the Cup and are now back in the team.
Probable lineupsValencia:Diego Alves – J. Pereira, Ricardo Costa, Mathieu, Guardado – Parejo, Oriol Romeu – Piatti, Canales, Feghouli – Jonas
Malaga – Valencia Pick
The match should be pretty equal and it wouldn’t be surprised if Malaga drew for the first at home this season, as Valencia is not strong enough to win. In that case it is evident that we will not see many goals.
Tip: under 2.5 goals
